It’s October 1896. A stressed son gets to the doorway of a majestic brownstone townhouse. He carries a little timber package containing a silver bracelet and band, and a bouquet of resplendent burgundy tulips. He raps from the home, squares their shoulders and operates through the language of their message. The doorway starts and then he is ushered into a sizable, well-furnished room.
